Eyemouth Harbour Trust (EHT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Creative Car Park (CCP) as a third-party parking management company to manage parking in designated areas within the Eyemouth Harbour parking areas.
This decision comes after careful consideration and collaboration with the Eyemouth Harbour Parking Working Group.
This strategic partnership between EHT and CCP underscores EHT’s commitment to providing an improved parking experience for all who use the harbour parking areas, for business or pleasure. We are confident that this collaboration will streamline operations, alleviate congestion, and contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of Eyemouth Harbour parking.
All revenue generated from paid parking is used to maintain the harbour infrastructure. By paying to park in harbour areas, you are making a valuable contribution to the upkeep of the harbour. However, there are alternative free public car parks nearby should drivers prefer not to pay to park. See plan below.
CCP, who are renowned for innovative solutions and commitment to efficient traffic management, have been contracted to enhance parking services in the following areas:
- (Site 1) Gunsgreen Quay: Exclusively for permit holders.
- (Site 2) Middle Pier: Exclusively for permit holders.
- (Site 3) Dive Shore Road: Pay to Park 24 hours.
- (Site 4) Harbour Road and Marine Parade will continue to operate under a pay-to-park system from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, seven days a week, as it has since 2011.
The plan below shows the four sites as well as areas where free public parking is available nearby for anyone who does not wish to pay to park.
Installation of necessary equipment including signage, meters, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems is scheduled for completion w/c 10th June 2024. The go-live date is reserved for Monday, 17th June 2024.
It is important to note that, from 17th June 2024, all four areas will be subject to enforced parking regulations. Any vehicle that does not comply with the parking signage instructions will be issued with a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) of a maximum of £100, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days of issue.
Please note PCNs are not issued by EHT and EHT will have no jurisdiction in dealing with PCNs.
CCP is a member of the British Parking Association (BPA) ‘Approved Operator Scheme’ and subject to its published Code of Practice.
